I'm New to Red Fork Church of God
Alright. This is a huge step.. We understand how crucial your decision to make Red Fork Church of God your place of worship can be. You probably have a ton of questions about Red Fork. We hope to answer most of those questions for you here at our online campus.
Is there a dress code? What about my kids, are there constructive things for them to do? Do you have to be elected in as a member? Will the church push a certain political view? Is there any place that my family can serve the church as new churchgoers?
These are all very important questions that we want to address to make your time at Red Fork an experience with God that you'll never forget
Is there a dress code? What can I wear?
Red Fork is a very laid back, down to earth, church family. Whether you feel like wearing a suit and tie or a pair of shorts with a t-shirt, we can't wait for you to come join us!
What about my kids, are they going to be given something constructive to do?
We know your kids are super important to you. We want you to know they're important to us as well. That's why we provide fun classes for children of all ages from newborn thru 6th grade during our Sunday Morning Services.
How do I become a member of Red Fork?
Your life is too busy and filled with better things to do than to have to worry about making sure you can follow a long list of requirements just so that you can go to church with a clean conscience. At Red Fork, we're not about paperwork and irrelevant membership rituals. We believe that your decision to become a part of our church family is more of a personal moment for you and your family to consider what God is leading you to do. We want to make that process as hassle-free as possible. We start marking your attendance as a regular attendee after your 2nd visit for recording purposes, but you'll never be confronted by anyone on our staff to sign a pledge or fill out a membership application. We'll leave that kind of stuff for the country clubs and car dealerships to wrangle with.
Should I avoid church on an election year? I hate it when churches push a political agenda.
No kidding. Jesus isn't Republican or Democrat. He's our Savior. He loves us all, and while our political views are important to us as individuals, we don't think that Jesus is sporting a voter registration card. So, we don't really promote one politcal party or candidate over another. Don't get us wrong. We believe our civic duty to be well informed and active citizens in our community is crucial to being a good witness for Christ. We've even hosted a political debate during the last election cycle. We're just very careful to give all political issues fair and balanced exposure to our church family.
I know I'm new, but I really want to serve the church. Is that possible?
We believe that one of the best ways to show your faith in action is by serving the church. We encourage everyone to participate whether as a greeter, usher, or children's church helper. We have tons of ways for you to get involved, even if you are a new churchgoer. Be sure to ask our pastors how you can plug in.
